While making the announcement, Chameleone noted that he felt the need to contribute to Uganda’s development in other spheres outside music.

“We need to support our own, promote our content and push what is ours. So I am opening up a radio station and a bar next year,” the singer emphasized on stage in 2018.

Two years down the road, the radio station is nowhere to be seen, with fans questioning whether Chameleone was taking them for a ride.

In an interview with Spark TV, Jose Chameleone revealed that the plans will come to pass with time.

'We are all allowed to make plans. I said all this because the machines had arrived but still, some were missing and it was expensive. We so much wanted that station to be up and running this year, but it did not happen. Just like any other person, I lacked money. We shall open the station at the right time. Right now, we are in quarantine. The money was less besides if it is my dream, I will make it happen with time,” he said.
