Burna Boy among Celebrities On ‘One World: Together at Home’

Nigerian Afrofusion Superstar, Burna Boy graced and was among world celebrities who participated in the event organized by Global Citizen on Saturday 18th April 2020. The online concert was held to honor health workers who are at the frontline in the fight against the coronavirus.

Burna Boy took to his twitter page to give his gratitude for those who took part especially those who streamed from their homes. He wrote, “Shout out to everyone who tuned in and every single person that came together to make #TogetherAtHome happen! Remember we’re ALL in this together and we WILL overcome. sending Love and strength always,”

The virtual concert which is organized and curated by Lady Gaga is an international advocacy that is made in partnership with the World Health Organisation(WHO).

The online concert has seen the participation of several global music heavyweights including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Lizzo and Jennifer Lopez, Lang Lang, Rita Ora, Black Coffee, Common, Ellie Goulding, Jacky Cheung, Usher, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, and Celine Dion.

Burna Boy performed ‘African Giant’ and ‘Hallelujah’, two of his hit projects, during the virtual concert. The six-hour primetime event was hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert, American late-night television personalities.

The event which has been widely streamed was broadcasted on major television networks worldwide to further raise people’s awareness about the raging killer virus and also foster unity through song.
