Burna Boy Helps Raise $128 Million To Fight Covid-19 During 'One World: Together At Home Concert'

Nigerian Superstar Burna Boy was over the weekend among the selected top musicians across be globe who participated in the 'One World: Together at Home Concert'.
The concert streamed live on Saturday was meant to raise funds to support the ongoing fight against Coronavirus pandemic.
According to an Instagram post by Burna Boy on Tuesday, the concert raised about $128 million.
"Massive shouts to @glblctzn . #togetherathome managed to raise $128m to help the global fight against COV-19. And to ALL the essential workers, you are more than appreciated for all you do," Burna Boy posted.

The event was organized by Global Citizen and saw international artists among them Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Elton John, Billie Eilish, Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and Lizzo perform, while at their respective homes.
During the One World: Together at Home concert, Burna Boy, a Grammy nominee, performed two of his popular songs 'African Giant' and 'Hallelujah' while in Lagos, Nigeria.

A tweet by Global Citizen on Tuesday indicated that of the total raised funds, $55.1 million will be channeled to World Health Organization's Solidarity Response Fund while $77.8 million will go to regional and local responders.

One World: Together At Home Concert was held after the W.H.O. asked Global Citizen to support its COVID-19 response by bringing together the world through music and inspiring people to take action.
Global Citizen is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030.
