Charisma dropped his debut EP last month and it was really a summary of love in all its motions. From the EP, he has been releasing videos of the singles on there. He has now released his single ‘Marry U Twice’.

‘Marry U Twice’ is a song about being deeply in love with a person that you feel like you could marry them over and over just to make sure they understand just how deeply you feel about them.

The video took an activism direction based on intimate partners gender based violence. At the beginning it gives WHO statistics of the many number of gender based violence cases reported among intimate partners and the numbers are high. The song ends with a plea to people to know when to move away from such situations.

The video takes us through Charisma falling in love with his love interest in the video (played by Foi Wambui). This is however not so easy for his love interest because she is in an abusive and manipulative relationship with someone else.

It is important for artists to really highlight such problems in society in their art especially during this pandemic when such cases have increased. Remember to speak up and seek help if you are stuck or know someone such in such a situation.

In the meantime though, catch a vibe with Charisma on ‘Marry U Twice’.
