The latest project by Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) artist Dremo dubbed ‘Codename Vol 2 EP’ continues to receive positive reception from fans across the globe.

This is despite the fact that the Extended Play (EP) was hurriedly released on Friday morning after it was leaked.

DMW boss Davido had tweeted on Saturday indicating that the EP was scheduled for official release in a month’s time but “someone actually leaked it yesterday Morning and we had to rush and drop it.”

Confirming this, Dremo noted that three songs were yet to get final mixes and had to work hard to beat the deadline.

Even with the rush to release the EP after it was leaked, it is performing extremely well, perhaps beyond what the rapper and DMW family expected.

Over the weekend, all the 12 songs in the EP made it to the top 30 Naija countdown, with three of the songs being among the top 10.

The project was also ranked as the number one album in Nigeria.

To add to that, the EP has now registered over 1 million streams on Audiomack, a music streaming and audio distribution platform, within 48 hours.

This good news was shared with Davido, the DMW boss on his Instagram account.

He posted a photo of Dremo and captioned it; “KEEP STREAMING #CV2 link in my bio.”

Apart from 1 million streams, the Codename Vol 2 EP also has over 500,000 cumulative streams on apple music.

In a post on Instagram Dremo also noted that two of the songs in the EP are on top 100 Gambia.

“500k+ on APPLE MUSIC We have 2 songs on Top100 Gambia too in #CNV2,” he posted on Monday.

With the successes that ‘Codename Vol 2 EP’ has had so far, it will definitely be a major project for the talented rapper.
