Ghanaian rapper, Yaa Pono, has also waded in on the ongoing beef between Shatta Wale and Sarkodie.
Earlier, Shatta Wale had jabbed Sarkodie for releasing a diss song in a time where the priority of everybody was on educating and fighting the virus.
While expressing disappointment in rapper Sarkodie for releasing a track that takes a swipe at some artistes at a time the country is striving to conquer the deadly coronavirus disease, Shatta Wale without any recourse mentioned that hiplife grandpapa Reggie Rockstone made no impact with rap, adding that the genre has no future in Ghana.

“The elderly detests rap; they rather like highlife. Rap is not even going to stand strong. People like Sarkodie do this at this time, I blame Reggie Rockstone for bringing rap to Ghana. If Sarkodie has thrown a shot at me at this time that people are dying, what is he trying to do, can’t he wait,” Shatta Wale had said in an interview.

But it seems Shatta Wale’s statement that rap music in Ghana cannot stand the test of time has awakened a response in Yaa Pono as the rapper has described the dancehall artiste’s comment as “rubbish”.
Yaa Pono, is one of the rappers Ghana can boast of and so he thought Shatta Wale’s comments were mere gibberish.
Sharing snippets of Shatta Wale’s interview, Yaa Pono said: “Rubbish talk ... drago.”
Before the response, the Uptown Energy boss had sent out a word of caution he would deal ruthlessly with whoever jabs him in a song.
“2020 any song wey go throw shots at Uptown energy, we shall resist quick. The UPNESS is dropn on 14 APRIL 2020...ready 4 my album....UPNESS,” he said on social media
