Controversial Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, popularly known as Charles Nii Armah Mensah has made known his admiration for President Akufo-Addo due to what he describes as great leadership style displayed in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

According to the controversial musician, President Akufo-Addo has done "marvellously well" as far as the minimization of the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak is concerned.

Speaking as a guest on an entertainment show on an Accra-based TV, he noted that based on good leadership shown by the President which surpasses his peers in Africa, Akufo-Addo deserves re-election for a second term to rule the country.

"It's so marvellous that he can really go down like this and care about his people. He is thinking about giving them free this free that. He came with this free education thing and most people do not understand but it's working. A period like this that he can come out and be supporting us like this," Shatta Wale said on TV.

Because of all these good leadership decisions, he has called on all the opposition political parties in the country to come to terms and allow President Akufo-Addo to go "unopposed" in the next general elections.

"I don't see any African President doing this apart from him. I believe we need to clap for him every morning when we wake up. He has done so marvellously well that... I personally feel all the other political parties must understand and just give him another four years," he added further.
