Rihanna will be appearing on the May issue of the Vogue Magazine UK with the digital copy already out. This comes at a timely point according to the editor, Edward Enninful who describes Rihanna as one of the strongest and most iconic figures at this corona time. We have all read about her donations everywhere in the world towards the fight against corona. So in essence, this is an iconic Vogue issue.
In the issue Rihanna discusses work, family and her empire. She seems to have stepped away from the music business with her fans waiting for the now dubbed R9 album for a little over three years. There was much excitement in 2019 because even Rihanna showed signs of releasing the album before the end of the year.
She now explains that she is at the moment (of the interview) that she is not working on anything else but music. She explains that since the beginning of her career, she has worked on every genre of music and it is very true going by the setup of each of her 8 albums. With the new album, she talks about how her experimental 8 albums give her the freedom to go off in whatever direction. She however did not negate the possibility of it being a reggae album; in fact she answers to that question with, “oh, it is happening.”
Catch the rest of Rihanna’s conversation on Vogue’s website and wait for R9.
