Kenny Rogers died on March 20th 2020 amidst the corona virus pandemic. His family held a small private burial ceremony and left the option of a memorial open for a later day. The new CMT Giants has announced that they will have one in the coming week.

The memorial will be live on their broadcasting station and on MTV. It will include the interviews and performances by artists who were present through Kenny Rogers’ career and others who mirror the country and rock genres.

The memorial like many other concerts at the moment will be taking place virtually. The artists will be interviewed and perform from their homes. CMT have set up a link for people to donate as they are trying to raise funds channeled towards COVID-19 relief.
