Find out what Sarabi has to say about their politically inspired song, Nitabaki Na Nini

One of the reasons people hate politics is that truth is rarely a politician's objective. Election and power are.

So how do we counter such vices from corrupting the entire society? Or rather how do we cut off this “cancer” from spreading?

Three words; Freedom of speech

Kenyan boy band  Sarabi, who I feel are one of the most lyrically sensible artists we currently have in Africa,  released the visuals to “Nitabaki Na Nini” and like always it wasn’t without purpose.

“We wanted to spread enlightenment to Kenyans. There are only two parties who get affected by the nation’s prosperity or it’s woes; the poor and the rich. Consequantly we wanted to at least  try and brush off the laxity of the middleclass on this one. Sabasaba is approaching, mwanasiasa atafaidika lakini sisi wananchi tutabaki na nini?” shared one of the band members.

“We involved H_art the Band and Juliani because we feel they are a voice of reason to the nation and are true to their music. Tear drops, Gachago and Berry may be new faces but they make very conscious music.”He  Added.

I personally feel that this video and the song itself should an anthem we sing along to for the next millennia, until this vice I call political brainwash is nothing but a bad dream.

Remember, if you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything. Let us stand for a better, peaceful and united Kenya.
