In ‘Quarantei’; a word picked from a now famous phrase in Kenya ‘Quarantine’, the group urge their fans to adhere to the guidelines issued the government in regards to the corona virus pandemic.
Like other artistes, Ethic have used the language and mode they feel appeals most to their target audience who are youth in ghettos, and various areas across the country.
The main message in the song is the importance of sanitizing, and maintaining social distance even when having a good time with friends and family.
The song also encourages their fans to go for testing whenever they feel like they have the symptoms, and wear masks to curb spreading the virus, for those with the symptoms.
‘Quarantei’ is not different from their usual songs despite having a very important message, and still makes use of that feel good beat associated with the group.
