Syd returns to music after long hiatus!

After a long hiatus Kenyan sensational artist Syd is back with hit ‘Malkia’ featuring Ugandan and Gold Digger hitmaker Jackie Chandiru.
Syd has been silent for a while now despite having done major collaborations with the likes of Wyre before.
The artist says he took a break to focus on building his business.
“I was off music shortly because I wanted to focus on building my business. Right now I have employees who have taken the load off me and the business can stand on its own. I now want to get back fully into music,” he told Mdundo today.
On his new song with Jackie, Syd said “I wrote this song last year but I felt it needed a female voice. I met Jackie at Ogopa and she was interested to work on it together.”
“I actually had to teach her Swahili and how to sing her lines because she had no idea on how to sing in Swahili. It was quite an interesting process,” he added.
