Yemi Alade Takes A Swipe at Government for Laxity

Popular Nigerian Afro-pop singer Yemi Eberechi Alade popularly known as Yemi Alade has come out in a series of tweets to fault the government on how it has handled the Global pandemic in Nigeria while at the same time asking her fans across the globe to take precautionary measures and help curb the spread of Coronavirus.


Yemi Aldade going by her last Album Name, WOMAN OF STEEL, went ahead to ask the president and the Senate of some kind of stimulus packages for Nigerian citizens following the general call for a lockdown. She added that the Nigerian government should beef up its obligation and proactivity during this period.

It is indeed true that African politicians have had the norm of coveting the high positions to the extent of promising the country citizens heaven and earth in order to clinch the seats. Yemi had the following to say, "OUR LEADERS MUST DO MORE FOR IT'S CITIZENS. African Leaders need to incorporate more Cooperate Social Responsibility into their to-do list, instead of being SELFISH"

Yemi Alade is known for the promotion and conservation of African heritage through song and dance has by far achieved what most artistes would want to. Her limelight song "Johnny" is cruising towards 120 Million Views mark while her latest release Shekere Featuring Angelique Kidjo in the 'Woman of steel' Album is 5.1 Million in views just days after it's release.
