As the global community jointly raises awareness on the ravaging Coronavirus, Tanzanian rapper P Mawenge has not been left behind.
Three days after releasing the audio for his new song ‘Corona’, Mawenge has dropped the video for the track where he delivers COVID-19 precautionary measures in punchy rhymes.
In the video, the rapper walks on the streets while sharing Coronavirus symptoms, urging people to be on the lookout.
The video directed by Masai also demonstrates how to stay safe and avoid coming into contact with infected people.
For example, the rapper shows us how to greet one another without using hugs or handshakes, but instead using the back heel.
He goes ahead to thank medical practitioners at the forefront of battling the pandemic that has left close to 15, 000 people dead globally, while infecting more than 300,000.
After Tanzania confirmed its first coronavirus case, a section of musicians have joined the government in sensitizing locals on how to prevent the spread.
Among the popular acts to release songs on coronavirus include; Rayvanny, Rhino, Lava Lava and Maua Sama.
Furthermore, the Tanzanian entertainment industry has also been hit after rapper Mwana FA and one of Diamond Platinumz’s manager Sallam SK both tested positive for the virus.
