Fast-rising Nigerian hip hop rapper Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael popularly known by his stage name as Zlatan Ibile has finally released the much-awaited remix for the song ‘Egungun Be Careful’.

The song ‘Egungun Be Careful’ was originally owned by Obesere, a popular Fuji musician who has been featured by Zlatan Ibile in the new ‘Egungun Be Careful’ Remix.

‘Egungun Be Careful’ is an old school song that was a major hit in 2000.

The remix done by Zlatan Ibile is bringing back the good old days blended with Zanku beats.

Official audio for the song was uploaded on YouTube on Thursday.

It is not yet clear whether Zlatan Ibile is working on the video for the ‘Egungun Be Careful’ Remix.

The remix to the song comes at a time Obesere, a native of Ibadan, the largest city in Western Nigeria, opened up to various Nigerian media outlets about what the original song was all about.

'Egungun' refers to all types of Yoruba masquerades or masked, costumed figures.

In a recent interview with BoomBuzz, Obesere said ‘Egungun Be Careful’, as originally done, was all about a masquerade and a handler.

A handler guides the masquerade as he does not see where he is going. In an event that he does not follow his handler’s warnings about where he is heading to, should he get in trouble, the handler will not be the one to be blamed.
