Down2Music Foundation, an initiative by Majek Unveiled!

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) set aside by the United Nations since 2012 will be marked on Saturday, March 21.

Muyiwa Majekodunmi popularly going by Majek or MM who is a trained experiential Learning Facilitator and founder of JazzVille (which was active from 1990 till 2001) has unveiled the Down2Music Foundation.

Among the attendants of the event were The Nigerian-German musician and founder, Afropolitan Vibes, Ade Bantu, Afro-fusion performing artist, Seun Olota, culture activist and art promoter, Pascal Ott, Tony Martins, and Down Syndrome Foundation (DSF) former administrator, Mr. Muyiwa Majekodunmi.

The Foundation has concluded plans to hold a concert whereby guests will not only be entertained but be informed about what it means to have Down syndrome and how persons with Down syndrome play vital roles in our communities.

On this day, March 21, people with Down Syndrome and those who live and work with them throughout the world organize and participate in activities and events to raise public awareness and create a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of persons with Down syndrome.

The Theme for 2020 is "WE DECIDE" and as scheduled to take place at House 21, Majaro, OnikeYaba, the event tagged “Unveiled Unplugged Unleashed” features impromptu live performances with some young adults with DS, alongside friends of the house- Nigerian-German musician and founder, Afropolitan Vibes, Ade Bantu; Afro-fusion performing artist, SeunOlota; Yinka Davies and many others.
