Social Media Users Attack Wendy Shay over Corona Virus Tweet

It is as if Wendy Shay tries so hard to move with the trends. She has somehow made it her point, to trend alongside trending issues on social media every time.
From the ‘Ghana wake up’ tweet, ‘ancient of days’ goof, to her most recent tweet on the fast-spreading coronavirus disease, the Rufftown records signed appears to have established her ‘brand’.

She appears to have nudged tweeps with her latest post about coronavirus and the need to stay safe.
Most often, her tweets about these trending issues make her become the trending topic and so just like many of such times, her tweet about the world’s biggest problem now, the coronavirus pandemic, went wrong.
In her bid to make some fun in the heat of the moment, her tweet got her shooting herself on the foot.
“I’m still hotter than Coronavirus…damn, wetin Corona dey figa…,” she wrote.

Instead of tweeps finding her hot, they rather took to the platform to express their anger and disappointment about the seemingly jovial tweet on the rather serious pandemic which has affected the world massively and which many celebrities were using their platforms to educate and make people aware of preventive measures.

Shots from all corners were fired at her, questioning the rationale behind her post, especially at a time where there is so much concern about the severity of the situation in the face of some 7 confirmed cases in Ghana.

Meanwhile Wendy Shay, in the same post, preached safety for all her fans.

“…for real, ShayGangsters, abeg Stay Safe..I can’t afford to lose any of you..Y’all mean so much to me,” she further wrote.
