Jojo releases first single 'Man' off of her upcoming album

Jojo is giving us a glimpse into what her new album might look like with her new and first single, ‘Man’ off the album.

‘Man’ is a song about Jojo looking to be in a relationship and setting us in on what she might want for a lover. It is well written and the lyrics there are well arranged but in a complex way; you will have ‘say what?’ moments listening to the song quite often.

The single takes a lot of sampling from old school RnB jams; a good fusion of RnB, soul music and acoustics. We know Jojo to take a lot of RnB leanings even with her pop career, her influence is heavily based on soul music and her glorious voice was made for acoustics. Therefore, this song is really just showing off her vocal prowess, however not exploring it fully but instead having fun with the beat.

Jojo promises a lot of things with her upcoming album including baring it all and ‘Man’ is already shaping the truth of this album. The album is to be titled ‘Good to Know’ and it will be dropped on the 1^st of May. Before then though, catch a soulful vibe with Jojo on ‘Man’.
