Grandpa on the verge of making history again; Fimbo ya Tatu

When it comes to breaking the ice in outstanding new material Grandpa Government is the deal.

Last year they did something that has never been done before in the Kenyan music scene when they introduced new artists such as Warda, Dogo Biggy, Pizo Dizo, TL-Moh and budding artists like Shamir, Fisherman, Qty, Ngangalito together with an established artist DNA in one of the biggest collaborations in East Africa in the hit ‘Chapa/Fimbo ya Pili’.

The song, which became one of the top songs in Kenya, gave most of the upcoming artists a platform to kick start their careers and Grandpa is set to do the same this year again.

Grandpa will hold auditions for ‘Fimbo ya Tatu’ and as Refigah explains it is open to all artists.

“We’ll soon do auditions for ‘Fimbo ya Tatu’. I have already started receiving many messages from artists eager to be a part of it. We are not limited to particular kind of artists we are open to anyone no matter the genre,” he told Mdundo.

“As a record label that cares for both upcoming and established artists we're now set to make history again. Well release all the details for the audition by the end of the week,” he added.
