Things you didn’t know about Khaligraph’s life

Khaligraph Jones is a Kayole bred rapper known for his distinct flow, stage presence and delivery of punch lines.

The versatile artist made his debut into the music industry back in 2004 when he was 14 years old and has had a chain of songs under his title since then. His music, as he says, is heavily influenced by day to day occurrences, social issues and reggae music.

We managed to sit him down for a question and answer brief interaction and this was the outcome.


What three words best describe you?

Humble, Go getter, Human



Three people who influence your life the most?

My parents (my mom and my late dad) and my elder brother. They have really inspired me in many ways since I was a kid.



What do you think would surprise people most about you?

I only attended two years in high school; form 3 n 4. But I had dropped out for three years due to financial reasons.



Besides music what else are you passionate about?

I’m also passionate about arts and creative designs.


What kind of legacy would you like to leave behind?

I want to ensure that people remember me as that individual who did put Kenyan music on the international map. I also want to help other upcoming artists achieve their goals in music.



What’s your motivation?

I know where I've come from and where am headed to. My past, my dreams, my family are just but some of the things that motivate me.



What are some of your strengths and weaknesses?

I’m gonna skip that. It’s making me think hard.



Who would you trade places with in the world for 24hours and why?

Nobody. I like being me and I couldn’t afford 24 hours of being somebody else and not me.



You always have something up your sleeve. Should we expect anything major from you soon?

Definately. I will keep you posted on that as time progresses.
