July Drama releases new album 'The Girl Them Sugar'

"The Girl Them Sugar" is the second single off July Drama's upcoming Alternative R&B album titled TRYST. This single features fellow Alternative genre singer, Wavy The Creator. The song is a pop influenced rhythm combined with a reggae delivery.

 July Drama is one of the new generation of Nigerian artists who are creating a style of music that isn’t easy to define. This new movement has been labelled ‘Alté’, meaning ‘alternative’. In the same way that the term ‘Afrobeats’ is often used to summarise an artistic sensibility more than a specific sound, Alté comprises a diverse range of styles, sometimes drawing on dancehall, indie, R&B, and more. "Girl Them Sugar" is July Drama singing about his infidelity to his love interest, and how helpless he is with his weakness.
