Wilson Abubakar Radido populary known by his stage name, Willy Paul or Willy Pozee is an award winning recording artist from Kenya. He was born on 1st September 1993 to Mr Paul Radido in Mathare slums. His father was Ugandan and  a carpenter by profession while his mother was Tanzanian and a hair dresser by profession. His father passed away in 2011 while his mum was bedridden due to a chronic illness. Willy dropped out of school and became a Juakali artisan to make some money to be able to support his ailing mother. Willy Paul is CEO of Saldido records.  

Music career

His first career hit was ‘Rabuka' in 2010. He later collaborated with Muliro on ‘Sitolia'. The song got massive airplay for its message and emotional impact it embedded in people. It was about the life,history and struggles of Willy Paul’s early life. In 2013 he released his debut album ‘You Never Know'.

In 2014 he went for a 12 state tour in the US. He began the tour in Sacramento, California. At the time Willy Paul was a gospel artist,his performances were held in churches. He actually got to minister at the Neema Community Church in Oakland Park,Kansas . While on tour, he got to perform alongside Polly Odote at the House of Glory Church.

In 2015 Willy Paul and Bahati got into a fight after Bahati accused Pozee for stealing a song. They reconciled at the 10th annual Groove Awards Nominations.

In 2017 Willy Paul jumped ship and abandoned gospel music, to go fully secular with hit songs like ‘Jigi Jigi'. He got massive criticism from his gospel fans but his new genre of music made him an even bigger fan base.In 2017 his ‘I Do' track with Alaine  gave his new career as a secular artist more recognition and acceptance. In 2019 he released a number of hit songs including ‘Hallelujah'  featuring Nandi, ‘Shado Mado' featuring Alaine , ‘Mmh' featuring Rayvanny and ‘Chuchuma'.

Willy Paul's son is called King Damian but the name of Damian's mother is unclear.
