Raj Brings back the 'hop' in hip hop and startles all in new jam, Ndizi Flow (Video)

KRS One once said, “Hip hop is more than music. Hip hop has crossed cultural boundaries that other genres never crossed. Hip hop is not only the music you listen to, but the way you walk, talk, dress and act…rap is what we do. Hip hop is how we live”.

And none other than rapper Raj, lives these words letter after the other. His new track, “Ndizi Flow” featuring Smallz Lethal, is living proof of the boundaries hip-hop can cross. In this track off his  new Mixtape, FAC (Friday After Class) Raj adapts a new style he calls 'ndizi flow'. This is basically a combination of rap in his arterial language(Kisii) with traces of sheng and English.

“ I wanted to represent and promote  Kisii rap so I looked for something that would apply to most of the Kisii’s and settled for the banana(Ndizi). Then came the flow which is how I then came up with the name for the song. I chose to collaborate with  Smallz lethal because he knows more Kisii than me which as I said was the basic element.” he said, when asked what inspired him to do the song.

This particular jam has been doing rounds in the capital right now and he even released a video to it yesterday. A deal to good perhaps? Well, you don’t have have to think twice on this one it’s just your lucky day.  Listen to this hip hop protégé  and get to embark in a journey back in time, when hip hop was really this good! check it out in the link below, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bH0XELSSqOs&authuser=0
