Actually, if you give the Nigerian Hip Hop Industry a closer look and you start linking every artiste to the one person that gave them the platform that they’re currently waxing on, then you will be linking many more to Davido than every other artiste.
This is someone that almost No one can claim they put me on or gave him platform, the way Wizkid can be linked to Banky W, Olamide linked to ID Cabasa, Davido can’t directly be linked to one person as a source of a platform for him, but he became a colossal source for many acts today.
Guess much music aficionados has been noticing the spree at which Davido is putting people on radar and Ex-BBNaija Housemate, Leo Dasilva had to voice out with a tweet.
He has point though, but as much as I can’t totally disagree with Leo Dasilva, I can’t totally concur with him either. Why can’t I, you wish to ask?
Well, the thing is that Nigerian music History is bigger than our duration of existence, taking a look at a broader history, I am sure there are numerous of people with a more broader good heart than Davido and OJB.
