Lon' Jon drops Gibberish, working on project with HHP

The hip hop industry in Kenya is fast growing with different artists showcasing their prowess and skills in performance.
The Mdundo daily TOP10 chart has constantly been topped by hip hop artists and one who made an appearance this week is rapper Lon Jon with hit Gibberish featuring South African rapper Tumi. The song has continued to appear on the chart this week closing at #4 on Friday evening.
“I was in studio and I remember I was having discussions on how people talk of things but never really act on them. So this song is more like a motivation encouraging people to believe in themselves because every person has their time of success,” Lol Jon.
The rapper has been in the music industry professionally since 2010. He spent most of his childhood and teenage years in South Africa where he schooled. It is from here that he was introduced and influenced into doing music.
Jon has done an album together with several artists from Berlin, managing to have one of the songs off the album featured in the Kenyan film “Soul Boy”.
The artist is currently working on his solo album which will be released early next year and a joint project with another South African rapper HHP.
