The first performers of the much anticipated 2014 MAMA Awards is out!!

Fasten your seatbelts people and get your voting details for your favourite artiste(s) early! The 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards(MAMA) are just a breathe away and MTV Base just released the list of the first bunch of performers.

The South African super duo Mafikizolo and Nigeria's multi award winner Davido, are the first to perform come June 7. Mafikizolo and Davido are tied with the most nominations, each with 4. Davido is also up for the spot of Best Male, while the South African group are leading in the Best Group category.

The awards are set to also have several performances from both African and international artistes, including the awards’ signature collaborations between artistes of different genres and cultures - a high point of every show. You should expect the rest of the performers list in the course of the week.

The MTV award for Best Video and MTV Base Leadership award will be chosen exclusively by MTV Base.
