Tory Lanez Set Foot Down On Colourism

Famous canadian rapper ,singer ,songwriter and record producer ,Tory Lanez was enraged by video directors during the recording of Nafe Smallz ‘Good Love’ music video.

The directors tried to substitute a darker woman with a fairly lighter woman during the on set performance .The ‘Say it’ rapper was not okay with this and called out his director and told the lighter woman she was beautiful and demanded the original woman to be back on the video with him.

Tory later on took to instagram to vent about the occurrence .He posted a video showing how the whole thing went down and giving it a passionate caption . 

“As a black man , Sometimes I’m going to joke about the black community just like we all do . BUT WHAT IM NOT GOING TO DO IS ALLOW ANY OF THESE DIRECTORS TO DE-VALUE OUR BLACK WOMEN,” adding that he’s seen directors “swap out our women of color for women of lighter complexion, or women with straighter hair ETC.”

He ends the caption saying, “IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS ARTIST TO STAND UP AND NOT LET THIS HAPPEN ... it's BEEN time to embrace our woman of color.” Commentators where proud of the rappers post and its message .

“Did you see her face after you brought her back? The level of empowerment that she felt?! Salute sir!” one person wrote. “Tory thank you as a black woman ive seen it like so many women and it’s so disrespectful especially from our brothers!!!’ Thank you!! Much respect for this,” another person commented.

Applause is in order for Tory Lanez. All Black women are beautiful.
