Nameless, Khaligraph Jones Bridge 20-Year Gap With ‘MegaRider’ Remix

First things first, you will agree with me that music producer extraordinaire Cedric Kadenyi alias Cedo doesn’t get enough credit. He is the best in the game. Don’t argue with me.

The top hits maker has that unmatched Midas touch when it comes to music direction and production. He has music acts like Sauti Sol and currently Nyashinski to show for his remarkable talent.

Once again, Cedo has created another gem and once again, he is not getting enough credit. He is the brains behind the production of arguably East Africa’s remix of the year; Mega Rider, originally done by the veteran Nameless alongside Ted Josiah’s production input and Wahu’s background vocals.

Mega Rider’, simply put, is what made Nameless the MTV-award-winning pop artiste he is today.

The year was 1999, a budding musical artiste and University of Nairobi student David Mathenge(Monski) entered a star-search contest hosted by Muthoni Bwika on Capital FM and went on to win it with his original composition ‘Mega Rider’.

During the call with Muthoni Bwika, Mr Mathenge who also held a night shift job in a bank, called himself “Nameless” when asked for his name. This was in fear of being reprimanded by his boss.
