Ruth Matete opens up on her music career and personal life.

Former contestant and eventual TPF5 winner Ruth Matete has come out to defend the many negative allegations and stories that have been doing rounds about her.
Ruth, who shot to fame after winning the 5th season of TPF, has gone silent since winning the money which prompted her fans seeking answers to the silence.
In an emotional interview with Radio Citizen’s Willy M Tuva, Matete revealed that life after TPF has not been easy but she has managed to maintain her focus despite the many negative stories written about her in the media.
“It’s been an up and down affair with my music career but so far I am doing good, it was not easy working with Universal records from here but thank God that I managed to record an album with them,” a jovial Matete revealed
The talented songstress also revealed that she is now a gospel artist and that her new album is predominantly gospel although she also sings about love and daily life issues.
“There is really nothing I can do about all the negative stories that have written about me, I think there are people out there who are not happy with what I am doing and that is why they keep spreading rumors about me,” she concluded
Ruth has a new gospel single titled “Mimi na wewe” which marks his entry back into the music industry.
