P Diddy leap-frogs Jay Z as the richest Hiphop artist 2014

Sean “Diddy” Combs is the richest Hip hop artist in 2014!

According to Forbes magazine’s Hip Hop wealthiest artists report, Diddy is worth an estimated $700 Million. That translates to about Ksh 61 billion.

The change comes largely from the addition of Revolt TV- the new, music- focused, multi- platform channel of which he is the majority shareholder.

Hip Hop mogul and entrepreneur Dr. Dre, comes in second with a fortune worth $550 million thanks to a large share in his earphones brand beats which he founded in 2008.

Despite successful concerts at the start of the year, Jay-Z comes in behind Diddy and Dr. Dre with an estimated worth of $520 million thanks to his world acclaimed Roc Nation record label and management company.

YMCMB Boss Bryan “Birdman” Williams is fourth on the rich list and is estimated to have a worth of just under $300 million as his Cash money stable continues to grow with artists such as Drake, Nikki Minaj and Lil Wayne.

Veteran hip hopper 50 Cent, rounds up the list of the top five richest hip hop artists for 2014 with a worth of over $200, which is mainly attributed to the sale of his vitamin water company in 2007.
