KENYA: Dancehall Singer Shavey Passes Away

Popular dancehall singer, Shavey, famed for the hit Gyal in a collabo with Slice has passed away. The news on his demise was first posted by Grandpa Records and later Ulopa, the producer behind their hit Gyal, who confirmed the same on his social media account.

Witness accounts report that Shavey was run over by a matatu plying the Kayole route and celebrities have been busy condoling with his family and fans through messages posted on social media.

“Gone way way too soon….. A brother, family, no words are ever enough… Life is too short. Rest in peace shavey de king of de riddim!!!!” posted Ulopa.
