My experience as an upcoming artist
eing as artist and having that title is so appealing to the ear. I had a passion in music and wrote bongo gospel songs which i never went to record due to lack of exposure. I was eager to visit a studio and record my songs. I therefore gave myself a stage name Zacky Zack. My friend had a producer whom he had to introduce me to. Wily haze, who was also an upcoming gospel hiphop artist where i found myself poor in singing. This really provoked me and i decided to go to a local studio where i did my first song without bothering him. I had that eager of listening to my own son. I was sure the song would be a hit, hahaha. "Mr. Producer i hope by tomorrow the song will be through." I was actually not settled. After getting the song the first step was to upload it on the internet for people to access.(expecting loyalties). Then i wanted to prove to wily haze that am also a man so i sent him the song. He disapproved me telling me that the song is bad and worst. Still i did no listen him and i shared the link of the song to friends to download. Some commented back to me and others kept quiet." A good start"," mmmh good trial", others told me the truth. But i went on to get platforms and performed. I sat down and asked myself why aren't people liking my song? Then on my own i listened to it and realized the truth. I then rushed back to that producer and redid the song. It gave me headache to manipulate my little fan base that the song is changed. But i was confident with the song. I went ahead to burn the discs for sale. Yes i was promoted by friends maybe i can call it sympathetic which i never knew that time. Remember it is a single audio. Then i met a certain man in the process of hawking the disks who told me he could help me to reach far in music. I was convinced by the man since talked sense and i felt like it was happening to me. He convinced me that he had the so called connections to the big producers in Kenya, the artists he had promoted and even showed me their works, their studio in Nairobi and even the media personnel and many other things. He even had beats which he convinced me were from big producers. The man was so convincing that i accepted to buy a beat from him for practice then he would take me to one of the top producers to record the song. I went through a lot paying 5,000/= for the beat in instalments for a whole year. Then the days came when the man was to take me to the studio. "The producer needs the deposit 5k". Which i sent to the man. Then i went to meet him and he called the producer. " Teddy B ule boy wangu amekam si tunakuja ivo sai?". Then the producer said he was busy and would tell us the day. But i was not sure if he wqs the real producer though the man showed me the contact name was real. I always contacted theMy experience as an upcoming artist
