Former Blu* 3 member set to drop solo album, her music on Mdundo

Ugandan songstress Lilian Mbabazi and former member of Blu 3 is widely known for her rich, soulful and powerful vocals. She describes her music as a cross between R&B/Soul tinged with African and Western musical influences.
Lilian embarked on her solo career journey back in 2010 and has gained ground as one of Uganda’s best female artist with several hits to her name.
“My music is mainly influenced by family, friends, experiences I've gone through, relationships of course and becoming a mother has also had a huge influence on my music as well,” she told Mdundo.
Lilian, who describes herself as being passionate about motherhood and writing, is set to release her debut album soon and talked enthusiastically about it to Mdundo.
“I’m working on my solo debut album and I’m very excited about the kind of songs that are going to be on this album. It will be quite eclectic which I think is a good reflection of who I am as a person. I haven't set a definitive date for its release but it will be out soon,” she said.
