23 November 2017

Kenyan boy-band Sauti Sol have dropped 'Melanin' featuring Nigerian dancehall superstar, Patoranking.
But days after it's release on November 20th, 2017 the song sparked uproar and it generated response all over, even from The Kenya Film Classification Board CEO, Ezekiel Mutua.
Ezekiel termed 'Melanin' as offensive and as he was talking to Citizen Digital, Mutua expressed his deep dissapointments with Sauti Sol.
"I have watched the video; the scenes are inappropriate and it's full of nudity, obscenity and it should be saved for watershed period, Sauti Sol is taking the wrong direction. The elements that we look at are frequency, intensity, nudity and obscenity and Sauti Sol's is adult rated", Ezekiel Mutual said.
