TANZANIA: TID To Contest For A Parliamentary Seat In 2020

Popular Tanzanian artist, Khalid Mohammed, also known as TID, has announced that he will be contesting for Kinondoni Parliamentary seat in the coming elections slated for 2020. He will be competing with the current MP, Maulid Mtulia.

In an interview with East Africa Breakfast show of East Africa Radio, TID has said the reason he wants to be in the race is because he believes the current MP has failed on his duties and he'll use the chance to get him out in the year 2020. He said that he fits the position as he understands the problems of the people of Kinondoni, his birthplace.

He further added that incase he wins the post, he will make sure that he settles the problems affecting the people of Kinondoni, especially the issue of drugs.
