25 March 2014
After the success of their first collaborative track "Yule" featuring Mr. Seed, VKP have dropped a new single titled "Imela"in which they feature Saint P who also produced the track.
Speaking to Mdundo, the band shared what brought about the inspiration for the track,
"Imela is an afro-pop thanks giving praise song giving glory to Jesus for all He has done for us individually in our lives, and praising him is the least we can do"
"We were inspired to adapt "imela" an igbo word meaning "thank you" to appreciate our wide African audience we enjoy beyond Kenya, given that we've been honoured with two nominations in the "Africa Gospel Music Awards" in 2012 & 2013" they further went on to add.
Having been termed as one of the best gospel outreach and entertainment groups from Africa in these times, the group has created their new style known as SocaPuka, Which they say is a fusion of Kapuka and Soca music and i can assure you this new track will not disappoint.
