‘Stop Spreading Hatred On Social Media’ – Akothee Speaks Out

Akothee is quite concerned about the situation in Kisumu. Violence has escalated with business destroyed and lives lost after protestors took to the streets to demonstrate. She is feeling concerned because many businesses have remained closed as people keep away.

But she feels helpless because according to her statement she can’t help her neighbours. The situation is so bad to a point she milks her cows but ends up pouring out the milk because she has no one to give it to.

She took to social media to express her concern on the whole issue.

She said, “I DONT EVEN WANT TO COMPARE THE SITUATION OUT THERE WITH THE NEEDY WITHOUT FOOD !!!
I AM STRANDED WITH MILK I CANT EVEN STEP OUT TO GIVE IT TO MY NEIGBHOURS NOW THAT GUN SHOTS ARE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY VILLAGE , AM FORCED TO MILK THE COWS AND POUR OUT , SINCE RONGO IS A NO GO ZONE. FORGET ABOUT BUSINESSES , WE CLOSED A WEEK AGO , ITS 18 DAYS TO END MONTH & SALARIES ARE WAITING , LANDLORDS ARE WAITING , BLOOD EVERYWHERE , ANXIETY , GRIEFS , PAIN , WHERE ARE WOMEN AND CHILDREN ? WHERE WOULD WE GO , (UDUOKOWA E KICH DIRIYO) HOW ABOUT THE STREETS, WHERE ARE THE RIOTERS GETTING MEDICATION I UNDERSTAND THE DOCTORS ARE ON STRIKE , WHERE ARE WOMEN AND CHILDREN GETTING FOOD , FOR THOSE WHO CANT AFFORD ELECTRICITY OR A FRIDGE OR FREEDOM OF WALKING OUTSIDE THEIR DOORS . DO YOU KNOW MOST KENYANS EAT FROM HAND TO MOUTH ? LOOK AT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE AFFECTED , ITS NOT RUNDA OR NYALI OR MILIMANI , ITS THE SLUMS , PEOPLE WHO NEED OUR SUPPORT MOST , THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT ON SOCIAL MEDIA , SO, STOP SPREADING HATRED ON SOCIAL MEDIA , PREACH PEACE!
