Mwakenya breaks down 'Mziki'

The road to success is not always that easy for musicians. Many face challenges and have to overcome several difficulties before making it to stardom. Often it takes years for an artist to be fully appreciated.
This is the struggle upcoming rapper, Mwakenya, talks about in his new song ‘Mziki’.
“This song is about the journey of music, how far the music industry in Kenya has come and the struggle some artists face in making it in the industry."
He goes on to say that... "this song is personally attached to me because there are so many low moments and equally high moments that artists, including myself, face in the music industry; especially that of making it in the mainstream media. This is because you may work for so many years to build yourself as an established artist and never get the chance.”
Mziki video will be out this Friday, and you should also watch out for Mwakenya’s debut album which he plans to release in December this year.
