Anniversary event to be held in memory of the late E-Sir
12 March 2014
Artists led by Big Pin and fans of the late E-Sir are planning to hold an anniversary for the talented rapper who died 11 years ago through a tragic road accident.
The celebrations set for the 2nd of April 2014 at the Carnivore gardens in Nairobi will bring together a number of established music stars who were fans and close friends of the late rapper.
In an exclusive interview with Mdundo, Big Pin revealed that the planned concert will bring together close artists like Nameless, Lenny and many others who worked together with E-Sir before his death and that the event will be all about the late rapper.
“We have been honoring E-Sir every year with his family and close friends but now we want to make it much bigger for him, E-Sir was one of the biggest rappers in Kenya and the only way we can appreciate him is by doing this event,” he said
However Big pin also said that they do not want to hype the event so much and make people have huge expectations about the it insisting that it will be something nice and personal in remembrance of their late friend.
“This is just the first time we are doing this and we hope that next year we will make it much more bigger just for E-sir,” he added.
