Artist of the day: Anto Neosoul

Born in 1985, Anthony Mwangi aka Anto Neosoul is without doubt one of the most talented musicians in the country, his smooth and crispy mellow voice has set him a step ahead of other artist in the competitive music industry.

The talented soul musician fell in love with music while still in primary school at Lavington Primary School where he was a darling of the teachers; his talent was so amazing that he was invited to perform at a private party for the late Cardinal Maurice Otunga and later former President Moi when he was just 9 years old.

Before he was even through with his primary education, his music career had already picked up and he continued with his musical exploits in High School and at the University of Nairobi where he studied Broadcast Journalism.

After releasing a couple of hit songs, Anto finally dropped his debut album titled “StarBorn” in May last year that combined love, deception, struggle, strength and spices of innate passion to sing and perform.

The album which received massive airplay across the region featured songs like 'Subira', 'Jiachilie', 'Engineer' 'Penja', 'Qwerty' and 'Chips Funga' which is arguably one of his biggest song.

Due to his musical prowess Anto has collaborated with some of the biggest names in East African music such as Sage and Atemi still continuing with his conquest mission.

Anto who regards his parents as his biggest fans describe his music as entertaining, educative and inspirational.
