Anyone not living under a rock, a cave in the Tibetan mountains or the deep swampy forests of the Amazon knows that the 2015 Mdundo Awards have been ongoing and we have over the recent past released the nominees for every category. As a matter fact the simple act of calling yourself a keen music fan and not know what the Mdundo Awards are is a sin! A sin that would only be forgiven after a birth in a river of hydrochloric acid!
Anyway, the time for the winners in every category to receive their honorary recognition has come and the first on this list is….. [DRUM ROLLS] the multi award winning music musketeers, the boys with the voice, the band at hand, the heavenly choir alumni, Saut Sol!
The band has were the first to receive these awards, taking TWO awards, for Most Downloaded Afro Pop Single and Most Downloaded Group! Mdundo presented the awards to them this past Friday live on air on the Capital FM ‘The Heat’ show and this is how they celebrated the moment:
