New EP
Today in the music industry it’s very rare to find an artist releasing an album or EP (Extended Play) , since most artist believe albums or EP’s don’t bring in profit. Things are a little bit different for Kibera breed rapper Edward Okwemba aka Judaking who is set to release his first online EP L7empire DAH (Dream and Hastle) on Saturday 27th August.
He has featured different artist both Kenyan and international artist like Kayvo Kforce, Slavey Da Illest, Ravenna Woods from Seattle USA and Mandela of Sarabi band. The EP is made of seven tracks a compilation of deep hip hop stories from life, love and hustle, the tracks were recorded by Robah of Life Music while mixing and mastering done by Ravenna Woods in Seattle USA.
Judaking believes releasing albums or Ep’s is a good thing for an artist and the music consumer, It shows some seriousness and keeps an artist on toes always working.
“There has been these notion by fellow artists that albums don’t sell because fans don’t listen to albums nowadays, yes it might be true and not true, these depends on the kind of music you are doing and the kind of fans you have. To me I want my fans to enjoy my music and am doing these as a gift to them” He said
He added that, “Music or art is not always about money and the hype, its more about who and how your work touches peoples life”
Judaking will be releasing videos for the singles in the EP soon.
