KENYA: Former Calif Angels Singer Choku Struggles to Comeback After a Long Time in Haitus

She was part of the Calif Records group known as Calif Angels along with rappers Ratatat and the late Lady S.
However the group parted ways and Choku went on to pursue her own solo career releasing various hit jams among them Tabasamu.
The last we heard from her was in her song Ndani Ndani but as she has now revealed she had to go into a hiatus after she fell ill with a fibroids ailment which saw her get hospitalized for a while.
Now the once great singer is seeking a comeback with her latest song Sigawi which despite being released last month but has failed to get traction.
“It hasn’t been easy and I have really struggled through it. I thank God now that I am well. I am relaunching my music career and this time around, I trust I will strike the right chord,” she told Pulse.
As to whether that will come to fruition remains to be seen.
