Kenyan metal band Last Years Tragedy talk their new EP!

The Kenyan rock scene has over the past few years flourished and is fast rising to becoming a genre to reckon with and it is with such kind of growth that metal/hardcore rock band Last Year’s Tragedy has been able to establish a name for themselves, and with a new EP out titled ‘Challenge Accepted’ they are definitely treading in the right path.
The new EP shows fans a new side of them and as one of the band members explained to Mdundo, it is something fans will enjoy, “The EP is basically a fusion of both old and new LYT musical writing elements, with some melodic influence it’s an introduction of what we’re all about; something like a rainbow Sharknado, all the heavy with a melodic twist.”
He further went on to add “we drew the inspiration for this EP from our individual journeys in the quest to be better people, the struggles we’ve gone through and still continue to encounter”
The band made up of 7 members was formed back in 2005 and hope to help create an awesome enlightened positive society where cultural barriers, wars, hatred and negative energy are no more through their music.
