Kenyan rapper King Kaka and his long-time partner, media personality Nana Owiti, have officially confirmed their breakup, bringing an end to a celebrated 13-year relationship.

The couple, who were together for over a decade, have been a symbol of love, resilience, and partnership in the Kenyan entertainment industry. From publicly supporting each other during difficult times, such as King Kaka’s health struggles, to celebrating their personal and professional achievements, their journey has been closely followed by fans.

King Kaka, born Kennedy Ombima, and Nana Owiti have always been candid about their relationship, sharing glimpses of their lives on social media and during interviews. They were known for their strong bond, parenting three beautiful children together, and balancing busy careers while staying devoted to each other.

However, rumors of a rift had been swirling for months, with fans speculating about their reduced public appearances together.

In a joint statement, the former couple shared, “After much thought and reflection, we have decided to amicably part ways. This was a mutual decision made with respect and love for each other and our family. Our priority remains our children and ensuring they grow up in a loving environment.”

The announcement, while heartbreaking for fans, caused mixed reactions. Both King Kaka and Nana Owiti have hinted at focusing on personal growth and co-parenting moving forward. The two ask the fans for privacy during this period.
