Born on April 19, 1983, the 41-year-old musician leads the renowned Nguuni Lovers band, which has captivated fans across the country with its electrifying performances and soulful sound.

Katombi’s musical journey began in the early 2000s when he played for several bands before branching out on his own in 2006.

Since then, he has thrived as a Kamba artist, winning over both Kamba and non-Kamba audiences with his unique blend of rhythm and vocals.

His hit songs such as Pewa Pewa, Kalivu, and Umui have solidified his place in the local music scene.

With six albums under his belt, all released as volumes (from Volume 1 to Volume 6), Katombi's mastery of Benga and his use of both Kamba and Swahili lyrics have earned him a devoted fan base.
