Another week is here with us and Kenyan artist are serving the best of their musical talent once again.

Here are the top new songs released this week.

  1. Joy wa Macharia – Nitwatiganire

Kikuyu benga artist Joy Wa Macharia released her latest single ‘Nitwatiganire’ loosely translating to ‘we separated’. She captures life during a nasty break-up between a man and wife.

She draws a vivid picture of a man who could never appreciate the effort and sacrifice of his wife. He kicks her out of his house not caring where she goes, but not before years of a painful marriage marred by cheating and arrogance.

Years later, her break-up turns into a blessing as she finds a loving and caring man who heals her broken heart. Her biggest headache is telling people who knew her with her cheating ex that they are now separated.

  1. Guardian Angel – Nangojea

Guardian Angel is not letting loose his faith in God. In ‘Nangojea’, he reminds God that he is patiently waiting for his blessings. He keeps his hope and faith at peak levels because he knows God’s promises are real and they come at the right time.

A prayer in this song is that whenever he feels like losing hope; he gets renewed faith to keep praying as he awaits God’s blessings.
