Former TPF 6 contestant Angel releases debut single
3 December 2013
Former TPF 6 contestant 24 year old Angel from Tanzania ,whose real names are Angella Karashani seems to be keeping a valiant non giving up spirit as she released her first single titled ‘Nisamehe’ this week.
Having been removed from the academy in the second eviction week of the show,Angel who had become quite popular amongst fans eviction became one of the most controversial one especially with fans back at home complaining that the show is ‘unfair.’
Instead of taking her eviction news lying down, Angel has risen above the cliche set by former TPF contestants who always give up easily and are never to be heard from again , and released this new single hoping that it can help set a foundation for her musical career.
Angel has openly admitted that she was to blame for her eviction since she didn’t do her best to remain in the academy; Music runs in her blood since her late father was also a musician playing with some of the major bands in Tanzania.
There has been a lot of criticism about the Tusker Project Fame academy in the past about how it has fallen short in terms producing music stars after they leave the academy. Critics also argue that the whole show is biased when it comes to evicting contestants and at some point the potential winners are evicted before the end of the show.
The grande final of the show is set to take place with the remaining 6 contestants Daisy (Uganda), Amos & Josh (Kenya), Patrice (Rwanda) Hisia (TZ), Hope (Burundi) and Nyambura (Kenya) battling it out for the ksh 5 million grand prize and a recording deal with ‘Universal Music Group’ South Africa
