Nigerian crooner and songwriter Lojay says his inspiration to do music is all because of Wizkid who he looks up to.
The ‘Moto’ singer says Wizkid’s music always fascinated him since he was a young man and hoped he would be as great as he is.
Speaking in an interview with Silverbird on Tuesday, Lojay said his music have a deep ‘Wizkid undertone’.
His songs gave him a perfect sound and style and it made it easy for him to make music because he knew what to do and how to do it.
“I will say my biggest inspiration is, probably, Wizkid. He really played a big part in how I wanted to make music and when I was growing up, I was really a big fan of Wizkid. I’m still a fan to be honest,”Lojay said.

Meanwhile, Lojay is enjoying unrivalled success since the release of his ‘Monalisa’ hit song over a year ago.
Although he acknowledges that he didn't start out as a star, he fought hard to achieve that goal, and this is his biggest lesson to date.

Besides ‘Monalisa’, his recent hit ‘Gangster Romantic’ consistently demonstrates his talent.
In an exclusive interview with Nigerian Flow With Korty, Lojay said claims that altering his perception of himself as special rather than unique has aided him in navigating the road to success and notoriety.
Coupled with influences by Wizkid, he has become a musical force in Nigeria and beyond.
