Kwesi Arthur has just recently his first single of the year titled 'Pain'.

On the record, he brings out the ugly side of what betrayal does to a person. The emotionally charged single digs deep into his history to express what he's dealing with on the inside. The record is more contemplative and follows a few weeks of working with Kofi Mole. The lyrics' introspective nature is no surprise given Kwesi Arthur’s songwriting skills.

Backed by a superb beat produced by A SWXG you can say that 'Pain' serves as a vehicle for the sorrow of betrayal, lost companionship, and the disbelief of people who were meant to recognise his goals and support him. Yet in a time when loyalty is in short supply, he expresses his hurt at being betrayed by others. When it comes to his relationship struggles, he is candid, direct, honest, and transparent. However, he chooses to stay put and rise above adversity even when things appear stuck against him. He has learnt how to push through the pain and he figuratively brings it out in his lyrics.

“I play with fire wey I get burned, sadly, it’s the only way I fi learn, still money man a fi earn,” he sings with such a smooth tune. ‘Pain’ carries with it the undiluted feeling of betrayal and the undying resolve to rise above all hardships in life. Listen to the record via YouTube below: -
